It makes a lot of difference when an underprivileged person is given an opportunity to fund their college, start something of their own, and be equal amongst all, which is possible if universal basic income is implemented. There will be a sense of satisfaction and less greed because people will know that everyone can afford what he/she can as well.

Consider this scheme as an interest on investment. Countries invest and get dividends from those investments, and it naturally funds the UBI; the cost is not high if done correctly. Every citizen has a right to that dividend. It will be the duty of the government, not to be corrupt, distribute equally and create opportunities within country so that the money flows in. When it comes to taxes, the tax structure will need to be revised and maybe change completely from the current old-era tax regime. Obviously we will need to go through economic, social and political change if such a massive change is going to come in the economy.

This is why the change will be needed; a cap in such a case is necessary. As a government, they will be responsible that this extra cash should be used for the development of the citizens and not eaten by the money-hungry politicians. The government will have to put up measures such that the extra cash can be used as a subsidy for a start-up, a bursary for the students, or relief in the medical bills for the patients. Educating the citizens about these crucial steps can help in bringing down the costs and inflation.
