Look, I get the frustration. Phones can be annoying at concerts—people holding them up, blocking views, scrolling Instagram during a live set. But banning them entirely is way too extreme. You're essentially saying no one can capture a single memory, call a friend who couldn't make it, or even check the time without getting kicked out.
The real issue isn't phones themselves—it's people being jerks with them. We don't ban cars because some people drive recklessly. We set rules. Same thing here. Enforce a no-recording policy during the main set, or designate areas for phone use. But a blanket ban? That just punishes everyone for the bad behavior of a few.
Plus, phones actually help artists. Fans share moments online, which builds buzz and sells tickets for future shows. That's free promotion. Banning phones kills that. It's a bad trade-off.
