The other side frames this purely as identity and inclusion, but that misses what sport actually is: a competition based on physical characteristics, not social ones. The evidence is clear that male puberty leaves lasting advantages in bone density, lung capacity, muscle mass, and cardiovascular output, even after hormone suppression. So affirming gender doesn't erase those biological realities. Letting trans women compete in women's categories means competing against athletes who retained a structural edge, and that undercuts the entire purpose of having separate women's divisions. Its not about excluding anyone, its about keeping those divisions meaningful. Good intentions shouldn't override fairness for every female athlete whos trained her whole life.
