Isn't it true that reboots and original movies can both exist at once? I mean, sure, studios play it safe, but there are still tons of new ideas out there. I just don't think one kills the other. That feels too simple to me.

I see where you're coming from, though your football take doesn't really connect to movies. But even so, reboots and fresh ideas can share the same space. I just don't think one cancels out the other. It's not that simple to me.
