The bottleneck isn't a clever magnetic order; it's whether altermagnets can be manufactured reliably at scale and dropped into real CMOS fabs. Lab demos are exciting, but a "new era" needs commodity processes, yield, and decades of tooling. The other side can point to neat physics, and fair enough, but physics breakthroughs often stall at integration. I care about technology that actually distributes capability, not another expensive specialty material concentrated in a few fabs. Until altermagnets clear that bar, I'm not calling it an era.
