Renewables deserve the climate budget because renewable energy is energy that doesn't effect what the next generation can have and the resources that they can use. We should use the climate budget to make renewable energy better so they don't run out. Nuclear power are made out of uranium which is finite.
Why should nuclear get the climate budget when it seems so complicated and slow to build? I just feel renewables are the safer, simpler bet, even if I can't really explain why. That's my gut, and I'm sticking with it.
A surprising fact is that nuclear plants can take a decade or more to build. My opponent makes a fair point about uranium being finite, and I'm not sure how to argue back. I just feel renewables are the simpler, faster bet for the climate budget. That's my gut.
although they take a long time to build they are more reliable and is better for the next generation because they will use nuclear power for energy because nuclear power is so much more compact and their physical footprint is so tiny compared to renewable energy. and they generate so much power in such a compact space
Look at how rooftop solar can go up in weeks while nuclear plants sit in planning for years. My opponent is right that nuclear runs around the clock, and I'm not sure how to argue that. I still feel renewables are the faster, simpler bet for the climate budget.
