The other side seems to assume the money is just sitting there for athletes to split, but a lot of it already goes back into scholarships, facilities, and running the sports that don't make much. Maybe athletes deserve something, sure, but I don't think it's as simple as handing out a direct cut.

I strongly disagree, the government can make ample amount of cash through sports through sources such as tickets funds and more let’s say there are roughly around 500 seats in a football stadium and it’s fifa World Cup and each seats cost 5000 so 500*5000 =25,00,000 which is a lot of money and the cash Can be used to give scholarships ,do good for the society and other stuff

My opponent makes a fair point that sports keep people healthy, and I don't really know how to argue with that. But the question is about splitting revenue, and I just feel like college sports have a lot of costs people don't see, so a direct share seems messy to me.

My opponent had made a fair claim,and I strongly believe the government has lots if income sources to spend for the collages and sports as the government has international partnership and a lots of sources such as international trade, tasmarcs(in India) ,taxes and a lot more but I think sports should be considered as a sport itself and not as a soured of income sports is a passion,a hobby not a income sourse ,sports fall into the entertaining Catogory and not the financial catogory
