Doesn't it feel weird to call students employees just because they play a sport? I get the other side wants fairness, and maybe they have a point, but paying athletes directly seems like it would turn college into a job. That just rubs me wrong.

I think the other side gets wrong that being busy makes someone an employee. My opponent's fairness point is fair, and I am not sure how to argue back. I just wouldn't call students employees, since school should still feel like school.
