Should college athletes be paid?

I think that college shouldn't pay to athletes because at first it can be a large financial losses for college because they have to pay for rents or a scholarship and some stuff like that. And if they also pay for a college athletes, they will go in red. And second, it's their own choice to do sport. And if they want to be paid, they shouldn't go to a college and expect that from college. Maybe they should go to another places, like to professional sports, to championships, to matches and something like that. Because college don't have to take responsibility on their self to pay to college athletes because it's not their duty.

These athletes get scholarships worth tens of thousands—tuition, room, board, books. That's payment. Paying them cash on top of that turns college into a minor league. Most athletes aren't bringing in millions; they’re on partial scholarships for sports that lose money. The system isn’t perfect, but paying them destroys the academic mission. Let’s fix the issues with the current model instead of blowing it up.
