My opponent says notice is simple: just tell people data "may" be used. That's exactly the problem. "May" is boilerplate, not knowledge. Training pipelines mix, filter, and retrain data until one user's contribution can't be isolated or meaningfully explained. So the disclosure becomes a vague badge that tells nobody anything actionable, or it implies precision that doesn't exist. The asymmetry my opponent names is real, but the fix is enforceable rules and deletion rights over collection and use, not a notification ritual that manufactures false confidence. Transparency theater is not respect for users.
