I believe AI could easily replicate the artists way of drawing, leading to the use of AI being okay as long as the AI is good enough to replicate the hands that made it true earlier.
Imagine a novelist dies midway through a book, and a studio lets AI write the ending. It might read fine, but those last choices were never the author's. I just think that crosses a line, even if I can't fully explain why.
The other side makes a fair point about AI copying style, and honestly I'm not sure how to argue with that. Still, copying how someone drew isn't the same as knowing what they meant to draw next. It feels like putting words in a dead person's mouth.
The practical problem is that a finished fake version could become the only version people remember. My opponent asks if we want unfinished or finished, and that's fair. I just feel an honest unfinished thing is better than a polished guess.
