I'll grant that the STOCK Act hasn't ended insider trading, but that's an enforcement problem, not proof we need a blanket ban. A ban doesn't stop officials from trading through spouses, trusts, or crypto, and it strips away a basic right to invest for the majority who aren't abusing anything. The real fix is strict recusal rules, random audits, and meaningful penalties when officials actually trade on confidential info. Punishing every senator because a few broke the law is overreach that sounds clean but doesn't solve the underlying corruption.
