A bigger playoff isn't bloat. It's a fix for the real mess we already have. The other side calls 12 teams excessive, but 12 out of 130-plus isn't some sprawling field. It rewards conference champions, gives more fan bases a real path, and makes November matter in more places instead of a beauty contest for four spots. Yeah, extra games add wear and tear, and that's a fair concern. But that's a scheduling problem, not proof of bloat. A tournament can be big and still be tight.
