Yes, money is the real winner of every election. The current elections system is rigged to favor candidates with most money- in fact campaigning is by far the most predictable way to win and is based only upon the amount of money a candidate has. This necessarily entails that money has "won" the election.

The key thing they miss is that voters will trust candidates based on the amount of money you have- its literally impossible to gain anyones trust if you cannot get a platform. Additonally, when people do trust someone more to the point where they vote for them over a candidate with better funding its usually for the important issues such as economic factors rather than abstract social factors.

This is the massive point where my opponent loses- they say quote " I am not sure how to prove it, though", however emprics support my side better. They have crucially conceded that campaign funding is the most predictable way to win an election. They say voters have some say- this is misresponsive, voters obviously have say but campaigning is the most critical factor within this say and is always the deciding factor writ large. Sure, some voters may not be swayed, but because elections are across multiply people we know reliably the candidate that puts in the most money is the most likely to win.
