I am in favor of editing the genes of human embryos for the fact of how much good this technology can bring, Millions of people suffer globally from alzheimers alone, There a numerous chronic and life-threatening conditions this technology can help remedy, might i add that these diseases are not slow nor painless people with these diseases like as i said alzheimer's go through months if not years of suffering. Would it not then be empirical that we support and try developing any means to help alleviate milions of peoples pain

Designer babies arent inherently wrong if the technology is prevalent you may make the argument off elitism but is that any different from those teenage sports starts state of the art facilities and in general children simply born into wealth. At the end of the day those families would still have a major advantage over other kids but here developing this tech can actually bring about helpful change in terms of as i said earlier possibly lowering the risks of chronic diseases that devestate millions

Lets be real, kids born into wealth will always have advantages over those kids who dont wheter this tech exists or not, The fact of the matter is that the advantages of us having this science outweights the negatives you say so yourself
