Yes i believe they should be banned. Any human in this world would take advantage of this position as a rule maker, given the fact that every human has infinite wants .

If what your suggesting is that adding this ban policy is pointless then at this point, there should be no restrictions on the lawmaker right? No, obviously the ban is still needed, and if its not impactful enough, then making it more extreme is the more reasonable thing to do rather than just disregarding it.

If you FEEL that a ban is for show, then obviously you shouldn’t be debating. Take for example the rule of no usage of Artificial intelligence in a class to answer questions. This rule itself already imposes as a warning- what you’re saying is that the warning is pointless as the people would still use AI, but thats not true. People are smarter than just putting up a sign, if people manage to get around the warning, we adapt and make it stricter.
