The biggest practical problem is that once you edit an embryo, there's no taking it back. We don't really know what those changes might do decades later, and that could hurt people who never got a choice in the matter.

Taking care of the problem once it is detected is far better and the risk is worth taking if it results in healthier off-spring which would not be possible if we had not followed the process

You make a fair point about stopping inherited diseases, that really would help a lot of people. But I still can't shake the feeling that editing embryos crosses a line we shouldn't cross. Maybe it's just me being old-fashioned, but I don't think we should have that much power.

Human brain is a powerful tool, we as humans instead of adopting to nature we are adopting nature for us, we did the same editing to plants to grow more infection resistant crops and produce better yield, if we can can use technology and advancement for better future it is a right course of action to take.

I see why fixing diseases early seems like a good idea, and honestly you make a strong case. But I still worry that changing embryos means we're making huge decisions for people who can't agree. That kind of power scares me, even if it helps some families.
