Imagine a village blaming a storm on an angry deity. Centuries later, we know pressure systems. History doesn't repeat, but it rhymes: lightning, disease, planetary motion, each once had a god-shaped explanation, then a natural one. So the strongest reason to doubt isn't that science has disproved God outright. It's that the main arguments keep retreating to whatever remains unexplained, and that gap has shrunk every time. A claim that survives mainly by moving into the unknown is not a strong claim. The other side needs positive evidence, not another gap.
