My opponent keeps making my argument for me. Two rounds now, they've said the ask is parity, that the Equal Credit Opportunity Act took nothing from men, and that judging a movement by its worst voices is unfair. That's not a case for misandry. That's my case.
Where the other side goes wrong is treating the label as harmless branding. It isn't. Misandry means contempt for men, and equal credit, equal pay, a mortgage without a cosigner, those are the opposite. If the movement's demand is parity, then misandrist isn't a fair description with rough edges. It's the wrong word entirely.
