AI generated songs should be allowed on streaming platforms. While such songs may displace songs created by humans, this is rather irrelevant to the actual target audience of streaming platforms, the listeners. The sole goal of streaming platforms should be to find the best and most relevant songs for listeners. If creators want to be successful, they should be able to use whatever tools they wish to create the best songs, rather than be subject to arbitrary restrictions. Quality filtering systems already exist on streaming platforms, preventing human songs from being drowned out in AI generated noise. While human creativity could be somewhat affected, there is an element of creativity, albeit a different one, in the human-assisted creation of an AI generated song. Why should this be limited? Furthermore, why should the streaming platform, rather than the listeners, be the arbitrator of what song generation method, human, AI, or a combination, is better or worse?

This says more about either your listening habits or a bad algorithim than anything else. One option is that you tend to like a very very similar sort of music, in which case the algorithim is working properly. The other possibility is that your streaming platforms simply has a poor quality filter, which should be fixed and is unrelated to AI generated songs. Humans also generate plenty of copycat, similar, or just-plain-bad songs every day. From the perspective of the listener, whose satisfaction is the goal of the streaming platform, the method of content generation is irrelevant nor is the number of songs in existence. Quality should be the primary concern, not content generators. If content generators no longer provide a useful service to society then why should objectively better music be discriminated against to promote a now obsolete service?

Streaming platforms aren't just training on what gets uploaded, they are primarily trained on what users choose and prefer. If the simple existence of a song puts it on equal footing with all other songs regardless of song quality or user preference, that indicates an incredibly broken algorithim, useless for human or AI generated songs. Since, unless you are trying to make some money, there is no practical difference from the user's perspective from a AI and human generated song of equal quality, why shouldn't all songs be allowed to compete on equal footing? Those that the userbase dislikes should be filtered out and those that the userbases likes are spread. If humans are really so much better than AI at making songs, then humans songs should be ones recommended the most by a remotely compatent algorithim. The algorithim doesn't like anything, it's not a person, users have preferences which the algorithim is designed to help classify songs by. This is entire point of such an algorithim. Furthermore, we don't pay an entire class of people to do inferior work because we feel bad, that's just not a practical way to run society. If human artists are really outclassed by AI, then why should they get paid to do inferior work no one wants to hear. We don't still pay people to sow clothing by hand en-masse, why is this any different?
