Money can buy the materialistic things. But it never ensures presence of mind peace. Money is finitely limited, but true happiness, enjoyment is actually the moment, everyone forgets about every sorrow. Money can bring the happiness, it's a part of the process but money is not equal to happiness.

Can money really buy happiness, or just stuff that distracts us for a while? I feel like if someone can't find joy without money, having it won't magically fix that. It seems like something deeper.

Think about lottery winners, a lot of them end up feeling just as empty as before after the excitement fades. You make a fair point that money isn't everything, but I still feel like real happiness has to come from inside, not from what you can buy.

That's correct. Because 'peace' or 'happiness' is ultimately felt by one. No matter how he attains it. A person can be simply happy and one who is reach but disturbed always lacks the art of comforting himself.
