there are a lot of college athletes that are a lot better then some adult athletes they just dont have the resurses to join pro clubs and get actually payed for what they do

The way I see it, college sports are supposed to be part of school, not a job with a paycheck. If we call athletes employees, it starts feeling like pro leagues, and that seems like it would mess up what college is for. I just think they're students first, you know?

i think just because you are in college doesnt mean that you dont have the skill and the talent. i thinks if the coaches see that the student has the patential they should get the student ready for traing out in a pro leagues

Think of a campus where the quarterback draws big crowds, but the biology major still pays tuition and sits in the same lecture hall. My opponent makes a fair point about talent, but I still feel college is school first, not a job. I can't really argue it better than that.

i think if you have the skill and you train hard for the sport you are doing why not try togo pro and if you go pro they get payed. just because of your age you shouldnt be discriminated against. but my opponent does make a good point about it not beeing a work place but if they go pro at that age they should choose if they can handle working and going to collage at the same time

My opponent treats college like a pro training camp, but that gets it wrong. School is where you learn and grow, not where you clock in for a paycheck. Talent is real, sure, but paying students still feels like turning college into something it isn't.
