The other side gets so focused on curing diseases that they forget the bigger picture. Once we start picking and choosing traits, where does it stop? Embryos can't speak for themselves, and we're making life-changing decisions for someone who never got a say. That's dangerous territory.

I don’t agree with you since the embryo is basically a parasite. Yes it’s a living parasite but it’s not fully formed so it DOSENT has the nerve that causes pain. Since it’s only 3-8 weeks old.
We can take this as a opportunity to cure many future issues as a prevent, evolution science, make new discoveries and more

Think about the gene for sickle cell disease. It causes awful suffering, but it also gives some protection against malaria. If we edit that gene out of every embryo, we might accidentally wipe out that protection. That's the problem with embryo editing - we don't fully understand the ripple effects, and we're making permanent changes for people who never got a say.

Sickle cell and malaria are basically removed with gene editing. A discovery by the NIH tells us that this is necessary to basically remove disiease by introducing healthy stem cells and flexible red cells blood wich is basically editing the embryo, now with this discoveries we can take another step into a new world in science that can help us prevent many things with editing human embryos

Just because an embryo can't feel pain, does that mean we get to play God with its DNA? The parasite argument is weird, but even if it doesn't feel anything, it's still a future person who has to live with choices we made for them. That's not fair.
