If we don't require labels, then any artist could swap in synthetic vocals and fans would never know. If that were true, then live shows, credits, and the whole idea of a singer become meaningless. Sure, labels might feel like paperwork. But I think one line in the credits fixes it. Listeners deserve to know whether they're hearing a person or a machine. That's honesty, not censorship.
