Being trans actually lowers the importance of gender and is actually pushing the stereotypical shit that they're trying to fight off by saying you could be a female by dressing up as one and wearin makeup aka femininely which is very very stereotypical and sexist

I think the other side gets it wrong by treating someone's identity as an argument to shut down. People can know themselves in ways outsiders can't, and calling that sexist feels like a stretch to me. I am not sure how to fully explain it, but that's my gut.

I get that stereotypes about how women should dress are a fair concern, and maybe the other side has a point there. I honestly don't know how to argue back on that. But it still seems off to say someone can't be trans just because some people fit stereotypes.
