You know, I keep thinking about what happened with George Lucas and the Star Wars special editions. He went back and changed things long after they were done, and a lot of fans felt like the original vision got lost. If a studio uses AI to finish a dead artist's work, it's basically the same thing - but worse. The artist can't speak up or say "that's not what I wanted." I get that it seems like a way to honor someone's legacy or give closure to fans. But a painting or a song isn't just a collection of data points for an algorithm to complete. It's a person's choices, their mistakes, their soul. When we let AI fill in the gaps, we're pretending we know what they would've done. We don't. And we shouldn't pretend otherwise.
