The "it's hard" argument treats difficulty like it's a fixed property of veganism. It's not. Hard is a product of your environment and your habits, and both of those change. The first month is rough, sure — you're rewiring decades of autopilot. But systems have feedback loops. Once you build a few default meals, once you learn which products work, the friction drops fast. The same people who say it's hard will spend an hour scrolling through delivery apps. The difficulty isn't the diet, it's the transition period, and every transition has one.
Look at the bigger picture. Our food environment is built to make animal products effortless, but that's a human-made design, which means it can be redesigned. Plant-based options are everywhere now, and they're getting cheaper through economies of scale. Calling it hard ignores how quickly the market is adapting to remove those barriers. It's not easy for everyone, I'll grant that. But "hard" is a temporary state, not the permanent reality.
