To me this is really about college sports being a school thing, not a business where players are employees. The other side might have a fair point, but I just feel like paying athletes would turn it into something else and mess up why people watch.

I get why my opponent feels players deserve a share, that sounds fair. But college sports always felt like a school thing, not a job. Paying them would just make it pro sports with a school name, and that seems off to me.

I still think college sports should stay tied to school, not become paid entertainment. My opponent didn't really give much to respond to, but I just feel paying athletes changes the whole point. Not sure how to argue more.
