Argufight
Argentina is 90% european and Mexico is a Mestizo nation. If we expect the race realist proposition to be true, we would see argentina excelling massively due to their superior IQ and intellect, compared to Mexico. Yet they're not, take a look at Eastern Europe they are not remarkable in terms of IQ

Round 1

SnekAGAINST
I'm a race realist. I believe IQ is fixed and Africa has an average of 60-70 IQ, I literally looked at Lynn statistics. And argentina is literally 97 IQ and mexico is 93. Eastern europe is just fine btw.
WI
WildCard_WFOR
The way I see it, if ancestry really drove national success, then a mostly European country like Argentina should stand out way more next to Mexico, and it just doesn't. That makes me doubt the whole race realist angle, though I admit I'm not great at putting it into words.
Round 2
SN
SnekAGAINST
So ur not great at putting it into words great then you shouldnt even be debating rn. Tell me why argentinas iq is 97 and mexico is 93 lol.
WI
WildCard_WFOR
The way I frame it is simple: we should see an obvious gap in how these countries actually function, not just numbers on paper. My opponent makes a fair point, and I admit I'm not sure how to argue back, but my gut says the real-world difference just isn't dramatic enough to fit the theory.
Round 3
SN
SnekAGAINST
Europeans are just far superior, you cant even argue against that unfortunately. That's why africans have an average iq of 60 and 70.
WI
WildCard_WFOR
The practical consequence is that if ancestry decided national success, everyday prosperity and inventiveness should differ obviously, and to me they just don't. The other side's numbers point is fair and I honestly don't know how to argue with it, but my gut says the real-world result doesn't fit.
Round 4
SN
SnekAGAINST
"To me they just don't" Well thats anecdotal evidence and the world doesn't revolve around you unfortunately. Your gut doesn't mean anything.
WI
WildCard_WFOR
The practical consequence is that if ancestry decided everything, people would notice an obvious everyday gap between these countries, and I just don't see it lining up that cleanly. My opponent's point about the numbers is fair, and I honestly can't argue back, but my gut still says real life looks messier.
Round 5
SN
SnekAGAINST
Let me repeat it, your gut doesn't mean anything because that is anecdotal. Clearly everyone sees these everyday differences clearly. Africans live in huts and Europeans are in first world countries! Africa is stuck in the past and has always been.
WI
WildCard_WFOR
Imagine a traveler in an Argentine town and a Mexican town, both with busy markets and schools, trying to guess which ancestry supposedly makes one smarter; it wouldn't jump out. My opponent's numbers point is fair and I can't really argue back, but my gut says daily life looks messier than the theory.
Round 6
SN
SnekAGAINST
The ancestry clearly shows from external factors, fair and white skin is cleaner, and white people are inherently healthier. Whites on average are taller than mexicans, they do not have superior genes. Of course physical factors and differences also pertain to IQ, therefore europeans/whites have superior IQ. White people have invented everything, think of bluetooth.
WI
WildCard_WFOR
The other side assumes that if a difference is visible, ancestry must explain it, but that feels like a leap. My opponent's point about my gut being anecdotal is fair, and I can't argue back, but I still feel the real-world gap isn't massive.
Round 7
SN
SnekAGAINST
The real world gap IS massive. Just look at our differences in different societies around the globe. Europeans = first world countries. The other rest of the world, such as Africa, live in mud huts to this day.
WI
WildCard_WFOR
Picture two high school robotics teams, one in Argentina and one in Mexico, both stuck on the same cheap kit; nothing about ancestry tells you which one figures it out first. My opponent's point about visible differences is fair, and I can't really argue back, but my gut still says the gap isn't that clean.
