I hear what you're saying about Heian Sukuna being built different, but you're still ignoring the core issue. Gojo's Infinity isn't something you can just chant through or overpower with four arms. It's a fundamental law of physics that says "you don't touch me." Sukuna had to use Mahoraga to adapt to that, plain and simple.
And look, I know the manga implied Sukuna would win somehow. But that's narrative convenience, not a straight power comparison. Gojo had to be nerfed by the story - sealed away, emotionally compromised, fighting on someone else's terms. That's not the same as saying Sukuna's stronger in a vacuum.
Sukuna's impressive, but he needed specific counters and outside help. Gojo's power is self-contained and always active. That's the difference between being the strongest and just being really, really good at adapting.
