My stance on this is that our life would be actually more fullfilling if we wrre living as our ancestors since thats how we are actually supposed to live from the view od biology also in todays world we are stuck in a capitalistic world with mind bending technology which are designed to addict and use us just like described in many books including ted kaczynskis manifesto

Our body can adapt to any infection in the world give it enough bodies and time.
