I am for public officals being banned for stock trading for the sole reason around 20 percent of these people are using it to the needs of themselves absoulutly destroying what people voted them in for and quite frankly it damages our democracy for the fact that these politicions will go out of there way to get some insider trading done and get money then retire like nothing ever happend

i draw the line at when a 1 dollar stock is bought its not fair in my opinion that public health expert could be using outside sources to make that trade i mean you wonder why not of these officals lose money on stock trading often unlike the average population

I don't think a total ban goes quite too far because when you think of it as a bigger picture, these people are making money off of their own people and they aren't giving back to their communities. They're just taking the money that they make and they're keeping it for themselves. That's not what the people voted for. It's not what they campaigned on. It's nothing like that. There's a reason why none of these politicians ever want to talk about it when they're campaigning. Why? Because it makes them look bad. Because it is bad.
