Imagine a beloved author dies halfway through her final novel. A studio feeds her drafts and notes into an AI, then publishes the "complete" book under her name. Readers would be buying a machine's guess about what she might have said, not what she chose to say. That finished work isn't her art; it's a counterfeit wearing her voice. Finishing a dead artist's work with AI pretends we can know their intentions, but we can't. It erases the very thing that makes art meaningful: a conscious, finite human making choices. Some works should simply remain unfinished.
