Sure, AI helps everyone, and senior folks use it too. But the junior stuff is mostly simple, repeatable tasks, so it feels like those roles get eaten first. I am not totally sure, but that is my gut.
First we have to make it clear AI does tasks they don't steal occupations most of the AIs yet haven't developed the proper way of coding yet but even if you claim AI would eventually learn it due to its rapid growth that still not necessarily true because would it indeed do is helping those junior developers as AI might write down those code but it's also a conscious human being to supervise it and apply those code and if you claim AI would eventually still steal that role aswell that's sounds more of a AI progress of gaps similar to god of gaps logical error as both situations are uncertain in nature AI have eventually statistically been proven to actually increase the job amounts in IT sectors aswell in coding sectors and thing which need to notice is with the growing ai there are growing amount of regulations on AI soo it doesn't hurt humans most common being regulations on deep fake
Imagine a startup that needs a simple login page and a few bug fixes; they might hand that to an AI agent instead of hiring a junior. My opponent says AI needs supervision, which is fair. But I still feel the easy junior tasks go first. I am not sure how to argue it better.
In response of my opponents hypothetical situation AI yet won't solve the issue because that simple login page won't support the website to look good soo the audiance can actually have engaging time within that website only a human mind could understand human preferences what actually AI will do is helping the junior as the junior would guide the ai what exactly would look good and engaging and can add his own touches within it and it's also about opportunity cost of time itself the owner of the perticular company cannot really give his own time to explain the ai what to do and what changes it needs to make nor the senior as he/she have a greater complex task soo only person to fill that job is a human junior
Think of a small shop wanting a basic booking form; an AI agent can just make it, no junior needed. My opponent says juniors guide the AI and add human touches, and that is fair. I still feel the simple entry work goes first, though I cannot really argue it further.
Even if we think of a small shop only way to actually make his/her business go bigger which they obviously want to is increasing the quality and having a engaging way to deal with the customer a basic booking form can be made by a AI but what would a normal customer prefer a basic booking form or a attractive one obviously a attractive one which can only be made by the junior and AI would play the role of helping the junior not replacing it as the junior is the one who understands aesthetics and human preferences in closing we have to understand the growing stage of ai is been seen and with it growing amount of ai regulations have also been taken into consideration soo it won't steal the jobs of ordinary people
