College athletes absoultely deserved to be paid. College sports make around 13.1 Billion dollars yearly. Mostly going to colleges, and networks to broadcasters. I believe the coachs, and players and assisants, are barely paid their fair share

Think of it this way: college athletes are already getting paid with a free education, which is worth a lot. The moment we hand them a salary, it turns into a job and changes the whole point of college sports. The scholarship and degree are the real prize.

I agree, but I would argue its already a job the moment they signed to commit to play for that college. They're providing a great service, in which they spends months of training for a season for viewers to pay and watch their performance. They deserve compsenation.

How do you put a price on an education? A scholarship already covers tuition, room, and board, which is worth tens of thousands. If we start handing out salaries, college athletes become employees, and the whole student part disappears. The degree is what matters most.

Wrong. They're college athletes, they partly persue education and sports. They study their field in reward for a degree. They play for the college's team, they deserve compsenation from those earnings. People quite literally watch and pay to see them play, the college athletes.

Imagine a regular student working part-time just to afford tuition, while an athlete gets a full ride plus a salary on top. That doesn't seem fair. College is about earning a degree and growing as a person, not chasing a paycheck. The scholarship is already their payment, and that education is worth more than cash.
