Let's agree on something first: AI is a remarkable tool, and I'm not here to banish it from music entirely. But the question isn't whether AI can make sounds; it's whether streaming platforms, which are built on a legal framework of human authorship and royalties, should be flooded with them. Under current copyright law, a song requires a human author to hold rights. An AI song has no author, no standing, and no rights holder. The burden of proof falls on those who want to rewrite that entire framework. Until that's settled, letting AI songs onto the platform undermines every human artist's claim to fair compensation.
