I get that free speech matters and the other side has a fair worry about chilling it. Still, targeted political ads can quietly show people different claims, and nobody even knows what someone else was told. That seems like a real problem, so banning them feels right to me.

A surprising fact: two people on the same site can get completely different political ads and never know it. My opponent is right about privacy, and I am not sure how to argue with that. Still, that hidden difference is why a ban feels safer to me.
