Full public disclosure of every training data source isn't right because it can do more harm than good. Utilitarian: exposing datasets can leak personal info, enable bad actors, and chill beneficial research. Deontological: transparency isn't an absolute duty when it violates privacy or contracts. Virtue ethics: the honest aim is accountability, not exposure. We can have independent audits, data provenance records, and bias testing without publishing a complete ingredient list. So I'm against a blanket mandate. But is it right to force companies to reveal everything? No.
