Round 1
EnviroChampAGAINST
Imagine a college athlete already getting a scholarship and free training, then also asking for cash on top. It feels like they’re getting paid twice for the same thing. I just think the school should keep the revenue and improve the program.

While both teams face injuries, the 49ers' roster depth has proven much more resilient. The Rams' defense has struggled heavily with consistency, largely because reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett is on injured reserve. Without his pass rush, the Rams are tied for the sixth-fewest sacks in the league.
EnviroChampAGAINST
The practical issue is that paying athletes directly could make college sports feel like pro leagues, and smaller programs might struggle to keep up. My opponent’s point about the 49ers and Rams seems off-topic, so I’m not sure how to respond, but my gut says scholarships and training are already a big deal.
Round 3
EnviroChampAGAINST
Imagine a small college using football ticket money to fund other sports and keep facilities running; direct player payouts could eat into that. My opponent’s football roster point doesn’t really address college pay, and I’m not sure how to argue back, but my gut still says scholarships are enough.
