Imagine a town putting solar panels on every roof and a few wind turbines nearby, powering homes without any long term waste. I just feel that's where the climate budget should go, not into nuclear. I'm not sure how to argue details, but my gut says renewables are the simpler path.

Your argument is valid but look at the costs of operating a single solar panel the metal used in making these panels costs a dime which not every household can afford and besides solar energy cannot be relied in the countries where there isn’t sufficient sunlight I would say it’s a hit or miss chance but on the contrary a nuclear power is the strongest energy source that the humanity has ever discovered and in the right hands and the right resources there could come a day wheee every household dienst have to pay the costs anymore since energy is available in abundance

Who really decides what used right means with nuclear? My opponent makes a fair point that it could work, and I'm not sure how to counter that. Still, my gut says renewables feel like the safer, simpler place for the climate budget.
