Term limits are the way that we check federal power in the country. I think as you can see today, with current examples like Donald Trump, this is why we have term limits. People are extremely worried about whether Donald Trump will get a third term. It's a way to limit the amount of damage a person can do to the country. It's a way to limit people being able to consolidate power, to have frameworks within the government that prevent people from consolidating power. It's the thing that has kept us from becoming a dictatorship over time. Term limits are good. Just because there's a term limit, it does not mean that your party and people's similar ideas can never be in power again. And it's a way for us to constantly critique and refresh our political system to make sure that no one person is having too much control. And that is the best way for all of us to be heard, to have more opportunities to vote and change our mind. The person also has to present the job they're doing and the policies they're doing. And if they are having bad policies and they're ruining the country, you don't want them to have something like five terms or have no terms at all and no limits. That's not something good. Terms are the things that save us from bad presidents.
