Imagine a freelance illustrator who spent a decade building a style. A company feeds her portfolio into a generator, and now it sells near-identical work for pennies. She didn't consent, and she can't compete with infinite copies. That's not innovation. That's replacement. I'd argue heavy regulation and bans on AI mimicking human artistic, professional, and reasoning roles protect livelihoods, consent, and accountability. Sure, open development has upside, but markets can't self-correct when the product is a person's identity copied at scale. We need rules first, tools second.
