Picture a woman in a clinic hearing a fetal heartbeat, then choosing to stop it. The other side says it is her choice, and that is fair, but I still feel a heartbeat means a life. So ending that feels like murder to me.

But it’s not alive, nothing is actually alive until it’s born. It’s using the mother’s body to stay “alive”, if it wasn’t for the mother there would be no fetus. Before 24 weeks a fetus doesn’t even know it exists, it has no consciousness, no hearing, no sight, no concept of pain. Does that sound alive to you?
