Insider trading is already illegal for everyone, and lawmakers must report trades within 45 days. So a ban feels more like a message than a real fix, and I am not sure it changes much. That is just my gut feeling.

Isnt it fair that people in charge should be held to a higher standard? My opponent makes a fair point there, honestly. But I still feel like a ban is just for show, and I am not sure how to argue it better.
