Yes, art and music is just as important as math and science. Why? Because as we look at it from the outside, art has built math to what it is now. I mean, without art, how can you see math as it is now? Art is the one that created those wonderful diagrams of those numbers. Without art, what is engineering? In engineering, art and math go hand in hand. And that would mean they are equal to each other. Without art and engineering, what is mass? I mean, sure, the calculations make it possible, but how do we know what to do without the framework?

The way I see it, the real question is which subjects society actually depends on to function. I guess I just think math and science are basics, like food and shelter, while art and music are more like extras. Maybe that sounds harsh, but it's my gut feeling.
