I'll grant that an official mix beats a phone tape. But the practical consequence is this: in streaming, almost nobody consumes a live album as an album. They search a song, tap the live version, and drop it into a playlist. The curated tracklist, sequencing, artwork, even liner notes, all the stuff that makes it a distinct release, gets ignored. That great mix could ship as a single or a full-show stream. So the live recording matters, but the live album as a format is dead weight.
