Imagine a teenager who never watched Star Trek, but a reboot pulls her in, and her next search leads to the original series, then to new sci-fi novels and indie films. That's a pipeline, not a blockage. Reboots act as a familiar doorway; their commercial stability lets studios gamble on original projects they'd otherwise never greenlight. Crowding out creativity would require a fixed supply of ideas, but attention is what's scarce, and reboots manufacture it. Without that revenue and audience influx, truly new work has far less chance of being made or found.
