Honestly, if lawmakers can trade individual stocks, they might end up making money off things they learn at work before the rest of us even hear about it. That just feels wrong to me. I'm not sure how to argue all the details, but I'd say yeah, ban it.

because i have debated liberls nline before and the first thing thy say is they hate trump, i asky why, and they say another thing like that, because they think hes stupid and they dont give any good reasons, and if they give an example of something "he did" they never give dates or proof, and end up usually losing the argument. they repeat the same information and just word it differently thinking they know so much yet that very thing they do proves how much they dont know.

I read that a lot of lawmakers somehow beat the market while they were in office, which seems like way too much luck. My opponent makes a fair point about the rules being messy and I honestly don't know how to argue that back. It still feels shady, so I'd ban it.

A lawmaker hearing private news about a company, then buying its stock before everyone else, looks like cheating to me. Regular people can't do that. My opponent may be right that the rules are messy, but I still say ban it.
