I think the question is really about whether the good parts outweigh the bad parts. And to me, the good seems pretty clear, like how easy it is to keep in touch with people. I'm not sure how to argue it better than that.

yes, there is some good part, but the ratio of the good and bad is off the chart, way back in the day where social media is not even exist, we already find a way to be connected to the people of our society even if social media hasn't even exist yet, so many things to be connected, yes, social media made it easier, a lot easier, but we already done it a long time ago even if it's harder, just because it made it easier, it also made a problem that hasn't exist previously because of it

The practical thing is that without social media, a lot of people lose their easiest way to stay connected and find useful info. Fair point that it causes harm, and I'm not sure how to argue that away. My gut still says it's worth keeping around, though I can't really back it up.

we, human, is a social creature, just because we lost the easiest way, we cannot do the hard way, the ancient way of actually interacting with real people, as a social creature, we gonna be forced to interact with other people and that is no doubt, we will find a way even if the easiest option is no longer available, even if it mean choosing the hardest choice, we still gonna be interacting and connectinh with people, cause that is the nature of us, the nature of human being

I guess the way I see it, the question is whether we'd actually be better off without it, and I don't think so. You make a fair point about the harm, and honestly I can't really argue against it, but my gut still says keeping it beats losing that easy connection.
