Abortion should be illegal. Not only because it is morally wrong, but also because demographics. Few people are wanting to have kids, and too many old people exist, in the future, there could be the risk for a population collapse. banning abortion would allow more to be born and contribute in the future. Mothers who really can't afford raising a child should put the child in adoption, not kill it, there are far more peopel waiting for adoption than kids in adoption centers. There are some exceptions however, if the pregnency is life threatening to the mother, and c section is not available, or the child has a almost certain fatal birth defect.

So you want to force a woman to carry a pregnancy to term just because the fetus isn't fatal? That treats her as an incubator with no rights, no judgment, no life of her own. A pregnancy can destroy a woman’s health, finances, relationships, and future—and that’s not a “defect” you can scan for. You’re asking the state to decide her life is worth less than a potential life. If you can’t trust women to make this call with their doctors, why should we trust you to make it for them?

First, people should be responsible for their own pregnency, it does not come from nowhere, most are deciding to take the risk. and a pregnency can damage a woman's life, by taking 1 year away and causing fininantial damage. However, the damage caused by that is almost nothing when compared to killing a baby, and taking away not just 1 year of life or finances, but literally everything. And a fetus is not a part of the woman's body after conception, they have diffirent DNA, brain, heart and lungs. The government's job is not to make every single person happy, it is to make its citizens the most happy overall

The demographics argument is weak. You don't solve an aging population by forcing women to give birth against their will. That just creates a generation raised by parents who never wanted them, which costs society more in the long run. And "just put it up for adoption" ignores that pregnancy itself is dangerous, expensive, and deeply life-altering. Adoption is a beautiful option, but it's an option. Making it the only one means treating women as livestock for the state's population goals. You concede life-threatening cases, but you're missing every other real-life cost. That's the flaw.

This is the best we can do, because the population is collapsing, tax cuts and cash are just not enough anymore for many countries. And forcing anyone who already got pregnent to finish the pregnency is better than forcing people to get pregnent, so this is actually the best way. It is better for someone to get bad parents than for someone to get killed before even getting the chance to see their parents. And pregnency could be dangerous, but the mortality rate is not very high since hospitals exist, abortions are 100% fatal for the child.

The real issue is who decides, and you're still treating every pregnancy like a choice made recklessly. Rape happens. Birth control fails. Lives fall apart. You say a fetus isn't part of a woman's body because it has its own DNA—fine, but it still lives inside her, using her blood and organs. We don't force people to donate kidneys to save a dying child, even when that child definitely has its own DNA. So why force a woman to risk her health, finances, and future for a pregnancy she doesn't want? Your "greatest happiness" math ignores the very real suffering forced birth creates.

rapes are actually rare, and method of conception does not judge if a child deserves to live. The answer to this crime is not by killing another innocent life. Children conceived in rape can become sucsessful, and be great adults. And birth control is just lowering the chances, no one said it could fully prevent births. the greatest hapiness does count for suffering a pregnency creates, but a few years of suffering is nothing when compared an entire life lost. The reason this is diffirent from forced kidney donation is a person can control what to do and what actions to take, but not if another kid loses a kidney.

Having an unwanted child can actually give hidden advantages parent do not realize later in life. and suffering exists in pregnency, but it also exists in abortion, many suffer emotionally after abortion. And the goal is not to do any graphs, it is to get enough working population to support the old and infants born. A pregnency can harm a someone, but abortion is more harmful, it is not just a financial and physical damage, it is taking away everything. In an abortion, there is always a death, in a pregnency, there is rarely a death, and taking financial, physical or emotional damage is better than death. Everyone got the greatest gift possible of life from society, and forcing a pregnency to end is the least damaging way, it is better than forcing someone to get pregnent. The current system of tax cuts and cash reward is clearly not very effective, as even with the laws, many countries have declining populations.
